The RACE to 2030

1. Join the Race

Whether you are just starting to track and reduce your greenhouse gas emissions, or are already measuring your emissions intensity and taking action to reduce emissions, join the Race to 2030 to show your customers and supply chains that you are taking meaningful climate action. You will receive a Race to 2030 participation logo to use in your communications and an annual Race Winner logo when you achieve your reduction target over 12 months.

The Race to 2030 uses emissions intensity data, which is the amount of greenhouse gas emissions per unit of revenue, allowing comparison from year to year, as your business evolves.

2. Make a plan

Make an emissions reduction plan, based on your emissions estimate or measured footprint.

GoZero can help you estimate or measure your emissions, make a plan to reduce them by at least 5% per year, and connect you with strategies and actions to make it easier to achieve your goal. You can also use a plan provided as part of 3rd party auditing and certification you may have.

3. Involve Your Team

Start taking action to reduce emissions by at least 5% over 12 months.

We know that team members value being part of organisations that are active in taking care of the environment that we all rely on.

Involve your team and communicate with your customers about the actions your taking to get the most out of the Climate Race to 2030.

4. Validate Your Results

To claim your Climate Race Winner certification, we will need to validate your actions.

GoZero will provide you with an estimate or measurement of your reductions based on data that you provide to us and any 3rd party certification you may already have.

5. Celebrate Your Wins

Thanks for doing your bit for the planet by reducing your emissions!

Communicate your achievements as a Race to 2030 Winner with your staff and customers. GoZero subscriber businesses can convert their emissions reductions into rewards for their customers.

Each year, your victories will stack, so you can continue to show your progress towards the 2030 and longer-term climate protection goals.

Sign your business up for the Climate Race to 2030 and select the Bronze, Silver or Gold race category.

Participants will be provided with a Climate Race 2030 participation label and be included in GoZero's Climate Action Business Directory.

Use the label to show your customers and staff that your business is serious about climate action.

Start the clock and get racing. You have 12 months to hit your reduction target. GoZero's Climate Solutions can help you track your progress throughout the year, to make sure you are on target.

3 - Take Action

To claim your Climate Race Winner label, provide us with your measured or certified results.

GoZero's Climate Solutions can help you estimate or measure your progress for the Bronze or Silver Race. For the Gold Race, you will need to provide emissions intensity reduction information from your emissions audit or certification.

4 - Validate Your Results

You did it! Thanks for doing your bit for the planet by reducing your emissions.

You've earned your Climate Race Winner label for the last 12 months. Celebrate with your staff and customers.

Each year, your victories will stack, so you can continue to show your progress towards the 2030 and 2050 goals.
